Ethiopia Sidamo Washed

Ethiopia Sidamo is from Sidama, SNNPR (Southern Nations, Nationalities, and Peoples' Region). This is one of the few areas of Ethiopia that produce dry and wet process coffees close together, typically each region has a bias one way or the other, mostly based on water availability.

This particular one was washed and hand sorted but like most Ethiopian coffees it's not size sorted. Bright and zingy in the light roasts and full of citrus aromatics. Take the profile a bit darker and you add body, sweetness and retain some of the citrus while adding cocoa and muting the brightness. Great value and similar in style to Yirgacheffe, roast to suit your taste!
