Nah, not that sort of Geisha. Gesha or Geisha is a very unique coffee variety and crazy expensive due to it's low volume yields and often temperamental plants.
Grown in the Guadalupe mountains of Huila this geisha is grown around 1900m high and is fairly dense. It's not difficult to roast if you don't think about the price and for me it worked best as a medium but be warned, the high sugar content means this darkens early so don't go off colour alone.
Passionfruit aroma as a green bean, big florals off the grinder, sweet and peach juicy in the cup along with a subtle malty finish. Works great as a filter, espresso and even with milk and each method brings different characteristics to the cup.
Geisha coffees are a stunning experience and too expensive to drink everyday but a fun luxury to play with occasionally and explore what coffee can be.
