Peru Coopchebi Geisha - limited release
Nah, not that sort of Geisha. Gesha or Geisha is a very unique coffee variety and crazy expensive due to it's low volume yields and often temperamental plants.
This Geisha is from the Peru Chebi Co-op, grown around 1700m high, hand picked and processed.
In the cup you'll first notice the jasmine floral aromatics, the first sip you'll feel round, juicy mouthfeel followed by the sweetness then the stone fruit flavours leap forward (think peach and nectarine). This is a medium to light roast that works great as a filter, espresso and even with milk if you want.
Geisha coffees are a stunning experience and too expensive to drink everyday but a fun luxury to play with occasionally and explore what coffee can be.
