Pure Chai Spices for making amazing Chai.
Ingredients: Bay Leaves, Black Pepper, Cardamom, Cinnamon, Cloves, Ginger, Nutmeg and Star Anise.
Directions for making 2 mugs of Chai
1. In a pan, add 1 tablespoon of Chai Spice to 1 cup of just boiling water. Reduce heat to a gentle simmer for 5-10 minutes, longer if you have the time as this will allow the spices to release their flavours more fully.
2. Remove from heat. Steep with a tea if desired.
3. Strain the liquid, pour into cups (use like an espresso shot) and add steamed milk for the perfect Chai Latte.
(or without an espresso machine)
3. Add 2 cups of milk (soy, dairy, oat, rice or coconut) and reheat without boiling strain the liquid into cups.
Add honey or raw sugar to taste and serve.
You can also make this in larger amounts, put in a squeezy bottle and keep in the fridge.
