Sarah won gold in the home roasting category of the Golden Bean roasting on a Behmor 1600.
The blend she won with was 50% Sulawesi Blue and 50% Rwanda Nyungwe, roasted separately to the start of second crack, cooled slowly and then blended together.
While it's not possible for her to roast this in large quantities, I certainly can, so I've stolen her blend and will offer it here while we have the beans available. Not roasted by Sarah but hopefully I do a reasonable job of recreating her blend.
This is possibly the darkest coffee roast we do but it suits this bean combination. It produces a good bodied espresso with a dash of dark cocoa in the finish that works really well as espresso or in milk based drinks.
