Ethiopia Shakisso Estate - RTFN
Ethiopia Shakisso Estate / Farm produces an amazing bean that is the essence of uniquely great Ethiopian coffee. Grown wild and foraged in the jungle this heirloom varietal is part Typica, part Geisha and unique to Shakisso which becomes more obvious when you see the odd bean dimensions.
A really interesting medium light roasted coffee that works well in all brew methods.
2020 - Multiple medals in the Golden Bean for Espresso, Latte and Filter
2021 - Multiple medals in the Golden Bean for Espresso, Latte and Filter
2021 - Gold medal for best Filter and overall champion of Golden Bean.
A crazy amount of awards for one coffee!
Update: June 2025 - It's been a while since we entered this but it just won 3 bronze medals in the Golden Bean competition in the categories of Espresso, Latte and Filter. Blind tasting judges still like it!
